Most tourists can easily visit the island comfortably in a period of about half a day since it is not a very large one and has been made easy for touring purposes. The time it takes to visit the island will be between 3 to 5 hours and may include ferrying from Port Blair. During the visit, tourists can do all kinds of things, such as visiting the ruins of historical buildings, enjoying picturesque sceneries, taking pictures and spending some time on the coast. Some tourists also prefer to visit Ross Island alongside other islands close by, such as North Bay Island, for full-day tours. Package tours are also advisable because they make it easier for tourists to plan for transport and ferry times.
